Chic and clean cafe, bakery, and luncheonette located in the Ironbound.
Specializing in Brazilian salty snacks and sweets, or salgados as the name implies, they offer a wide variety.
The lunch menu has salads, sandwiches, wraps, as well as the popular acai in a bowl or even fresh juices.
As far as snacks, they have coxinhas, kibbehs, empadinhos and more.
Their sweets are my favorite here, as their sweet coxinha made with leite ninho crust and filled with a nutella brigadeiro.
They have brigadeiros, cajuzinhos, and beijinhos as well as a selection of cakes whole or by the slice. -

Went to a dinner party where they served their Salgadinhos... they were all amazing and I totally recommend. By far, the best salgados since I left Brazil.
Fui numa festa onde serviram os salgadinhos deles. Melhores salgadinhos que comi nos EUA. Tudo recheado na medida certa com ingredientes de qualidade. Recomendo muito! -

I've been hearing a lot about this place and their Brazilian chicken croquets so I decided to try. Service was mediocre, there were three staff members behind the counter, & even though they saw a line (which consisted of one person in front of me & my daughter, one person in front of us, and one person behind us) they still chose to work on other tasks instead of using the other register and tending to their customers. The place was empty, to add insult to injury. I ordered 'coxinhas', an 'empada', and an açaí Bowl. The coxinhas were served while we were at the counter, we were told the other two items would be brought to the table. While we were eating, the waitress shouted out from behind the counter asking what topics we would likening the açaí bowl. I got up and went to the counter and asked for granola and fruit (strawberries and bananas). She said they didn't have any fruit. So basically, she should've just told me that instead of asking me and said no to the items I asked for. Also, they forgot about my other item and never brought it to the table. They didn't charge me for it and it wasn't on the receipt, so the order was disregarded altogether. The place is new and I guess they tried to go with a "Instagram" or "Pinterest" inspired decoration of white and gray but it left much to the imagination, making the place seem cold and still under construction. Don't know if I will be returning or recommending it. Perhaps, I would consider getting a catering order, as their coxinhas were in fact very good.

I was having coffee and pastries here one morning and a all of the sudden I heard a scream come from the kitchen. The doors to the kitchen were short so I could see what was going on, and I kid you not there was a rat running around in the back scaring the staff. Needless to say I did not finish my pastries.

Came in for a new and fresh place in Newark that makes açaí bowls, cause we all know there are plenty of places who make açaí bowls. I've been eating açaí bowls for years! This place was by far THE WORST AÇAÍ BOWL!!! It was OVERLY SWEET. The frozen açaí packets they get must be the sweetened kind which is unfortunate cause it really changes the natural flavor of the berry. The portion size wasn't bad but the plating was awful and my açaí was already melting out of the square bowl it was in. I literally got 5 slices of banana and 5 slices of strawberries with less than an ounce of granola for a big sized bowl. I took a few bites and my fruit were gone. Then I was left with overly sweet açaí soup. REALLY REALLY NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Do not buy açaí bowls from here if you are an avid lover of them. I'll cut this place some slack since they are new but they really need to figure out their recipe. Their açaí bowls can make people go into diabetic shock with how overly sweet it was, there was nothing to cut that sweet flavor and make it enjoyable to eat. $20 for two bowls was so not worth it. I honestly wish I could get my money back and wipe my memory from this sugar blast bowl. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!
